OPN SHARP SABER (2-13 CAV PLT STX), was a success. The village of Medina Sahal was brought to life by a core group of roleplayers. Jess and Loki, thanks for the turn out, the time you guys gave paid off. It was the talk of the entire Brigade. The last day, we had units jumping in and asking for us to extend one more day (but the FTX had gone on enough). In the end, the last bit of the AQI cell died off in a big shoot out using all the pyro we had left (and it was alot!)
We are looking to do it again in March. See yall on the field.

Jess,

Thanks, Friday, we will have a morning lane, and then pick back up in the evening, Friday will be the last day, it will run late in the evening though.

Everyone else, the event is still open, Jess, can you provide details, my HQ is practicing moving, and our tac net is up/down.

Again, thanks for the support, hope to see you and maybe more on Friday.

Sal

Currently everything is on track and the 1st day went great, R2Jess was out there the time I was able to get over and see the scenarios. Alittle cold, but we had the squadron bring out a turbo heater, Jess, thanks for being out there for the weekend.

Again the training goes out till the 21st.

Greetings,
I would like to take this time to advise you to think carefully about where you get your upgrade and repair information from. Ask yourself if the information you are receiving is from a source with real upgrade and repair service experience. I’m not saying that all information is wrong or bad. Everyone has the right to agree or disagree with the information they find in a forum. It’s simply a “Buyer Beware” when it comes to doing your own upgrades and repairs.

Example: Hopup bucking questions, as I stated before “I do not recommend or use hard bucking rubbers for several reasons, 1) Depending on the Hopup system you have, it may not be able to handle the increased pressure it takes to properly adjust the nub through the bucking hole. 2) This may cause too much pressure and stress on the adjustment spring and nub that they can’t handle and rendering the Hopup system to unnecessary ware. 3) May result in cracking and permanently breaking the Hopup system. 4) Manufacture warranties will not cover the replacement of Hopup systems that have been modified with a hard bucking rubber.

Special note: As a quick replacement for a bucking rubber, I have seen through successful experiments, have used electrical shrink rap tubing that can be purchased at Radio Shack. It has the same thickness and texture of a standard soft bucking rubber. Just cut it to the length you need and can be purchased by the package for future emergencies.

Ssalvosa quotes: “Using soft bucking while using stronger spring grades (M130/sp130 and above) will just tear the bucking... you can use it -- don't get me wrong but the bucking will not last long. That's why they sell hard bucking. Now if you are using strong springs, use the right spacer/nub to avoid jams. Remember, no matter how thick the bucking is, it does not contribute to jams.... the barrel is inserted into the bucking. Only the part of the bucking where the square hole of the barrel is exposed. Still, you need the nub/spacer for it to actually go thru the barrel. That's what the nub is for... to push the bucking down. Now, if you are using a larger nub or if you did not install the nub/spacer properly, then you have a problem.... JAM.
Always remember: SOFT shooting gun=SOFT bucking
HARD shooting gun=HARD BUCKING”

1)The spring has no contact to bucking system what so ever. The spring no matter what size hard or soft pushes the piston and causes air to be pushed through the air nozzle. Resulting in air pressure= FPS.
2)The Hopup system operates by adjusting the nub that pushes the down on the bucking rubber that causes a back spin on the bb as it pushed through the bucking system by the air nozzle. Resulting in straighter shooting bb.
3)In all the time I have been doing repairs and in my search for replacement parts from any supplier, I have never come across any other bucking nub size anywhere other than the one standard generic size. I have yet to see one larger or the need for one.
4)Jams are caused by dirty or cheap made bbs, worn or torn bucking rubbers not allowing the bb to pass through the Hopup system. Or too much bucking caused by too much bucking rubber forced through the bucking hole of a hard bucking rubber and stopping the bb to pass.
5)The bucking system is a sensitive operation and mechanism that should not be over taxed to perform.
6)Bucking rubber tares and rips are caused from time and normal ware, Use of dirty or cheap non seamless bbs.

I hope this helps you in the future. My advice is always FREE. However having your Airsoft gun in my repair shop is not. We are all here to keep you playing, Not keep you down.
